Over the years, our team has experienced first hand how difficult it is to get access to quality speech therapy for children within our families and close friends. Given that communication lies at the core of human interactions and academic success. We founded Empat Speech to help every child overcome speech and language difficulties by combining expert therapists with innovative telehealth technology.

Sabah Ali, M.S., CCC-SLP
Clinical lead
Sabah has 10+ years of experience in the field of speech-language pathology. She completed her degree in speech-language pathology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. She is passionate about helping children communicate using a holistic approach. She was the director of therapy at a private company and led her own private practice specializing in early intervention. Sabah has experience working in a variety of settings and with diverse populations. Her career began in schools and then transitioned to early intervention and to outpatient pediatrics working for Sutter Health and Kaiser. Her areas of interest include: parent coaching/training, early intervention, and play-based therapy.
When she is not working, Sabah enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Tammy Steinkoler, M.S., SLP
Bilingual SLP
Tammy has 10+ years of experience in the field of speech-language pathology. She grew up in Costa Rica where she completed her degrees in speech-language pathology and special education. She is passionate about helping young bilingual children communicate. She moved to California 8 years ago and has been helping bilingual children with their language development and speech production in clinics, homes, and schools.
When she is not working, Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, going to the beach, and visiting new places.
